Tofo Scuba

Tofo Scuba holds the distinction of being Mozambique's longest operating dive center — and it sits right on the beach in Tofo, near Inhambane. Every dive and snorkel safari heads out in one of three 8.3 metre semi-rigid superducks, each powered by twin 90 Suzuki four-stroke motors, reaching any of 26 local reefs alive with marine life large and small.

A PADI 5 Star IDC Resort staffed by qualified skippers, three PADI Instructors, divemasters and trainees, Tofo Scuba is built for continued education. The full range of PADI training runs from Discover Scuba Diving and Scuba Review through Advanced Open Water, Deep Diver, Rescue Diver, EFR and Enriched Air (Nitrox) certification — suiting newcomers and those chasing their next qualification alike.

Divers here encounter sharks, whales, turtles, rays and reef fish among the coral. On land, the dive shop offers a fully stocked bar and restaurant, an onsite training pool and classroom, free Wi-Fi and English and Portuguese-speaking staff. Whale watching trips are also available.
