Big Blue

Sitting right on the seawall in downtown Port Vila, Vanuatu's capital, Big Blue is the country's only PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort. With four PADI Instructors on the team, the centre delivers professional, friendly service to underwater enthusiasts of every stripe, taking divers of all levels out to some of Vanuatu's most impressive reefs and wrecks.

Courses and dive sites

Seven courses and activities run here, from PADI Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver through to Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Wreck Diver, and Search and Recovery Diver — plus Dive Against Debris for the conservation-minded. Local sites include Twin Bommies, Westside Story, Cathedral, Semele Federsen, and the Star of Russia, where you might encounter sharks, turtles, whales, eels, and colourful reef life.

With a waterfront base, retail shop, dive boat, air fills, and equipment rental and sales, Big Blue suits everyone from first-timers to seasoned wreck divers. Staff speak both English and French.
