Calypso Dive Center

Set on the frontside of the Hotel Dunas Mirador in Maspalomas, on the south of Gran Canaria, Calypso Dive Center has been introducing divers to these Atlantic waters since 1996. It's the only 5-star PADI dive center in the Maspalomas area, staffed by 5 PADI instructors who guide fish-rich sites like the El Cabron Marine Reserve.

Courses and diving for every level

The center runs a wide range of PADI courses and dives, from beginner-friendly Marine Reserves brimming with marine life to deep shipwrecks for more advanced divers. Try Discover Scuba Diving over three hours from USD 106, join a Half-Day Dive Trip from USD 84, or spend a Full-Day Dive Trip on the water from USD 168.

Warmed by the Gulf Stream, the ocean here rarely drops below 18ºC even in winter, while eroded volcanic rock forms spectacular underwater arches and passageways. Expect encounters with everything from ocean fish and eels to turtles, rays and sharks. With free Wi-Fi and six spoken languages, it suits both first-timers and experienced divers.
