Calypso Diving International

Run by Peter, an English ex-commercial diver who has called Spain home for over 35 years, Calypso Diving International is a family business through and through — his wife Jacqueline keeps the office running. Based in L'Estartit, the centre sits in the natural reserve of Parc Natural del Montgrí, les Illes Medes i el Baix Ter, an ideal springboard for the Medes Islands and the Montgrí Coast.

Courses for every level

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with four PADI instructors, Calypso teaches everyone from complete beginners to those chasing a career in diving. Courses run from Open Water Diver through to Divemaster, alongside specialties including Nitrox, Deep and Navigation. On-site facilities include a training pool, a classroom and a dive boat, with air fills, Nitrox and full equipment rental all available.

The multinational team — Sasha, Tamara, Maygane, Juan and Dani — collectively speaks Catalan, English, Spanish, French, Dutch, German and Russian, so international divers feel at home. With dive sites such as Tascó Gros, Reina, Dofí and Pota del Llop close by, it's a welcoming choice for holidaymakers and aspiring pros alike.
