Coral Point Diving

Coral Point Diving is the only IDC 5 Star PADI operator in the town of Bayahibe, Dominican Republic, and one of the largest trainers of scuba divers in the country. You'll find it a three-minute walk from the Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa, in a waterfront location with its own house reef.

Courses and marine life

With 10 PADI instructors and staff Marine Biologists on hand, the centre pairs training with reef conservation, monitoring and education. The course line-up runs from Discover Scuba Diving (from USD 90) and PADI Scuba Refresher (from USD 90) through Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Rescue Diver, all the way to Open Water Scuba Instructor (from USD 1290).

Local dive sites include Viva Shallow, Guadalupe and Atlantic Princess, where divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. With five languages spoken and a focus on private, custom scuba trips, Coral Point suits everyone from first-timers to instructor candidates who want to avoid the crowds.
