Dive Center Merlin

Set right at the beach in Sosua on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, Dive Center Merlin has been owned and operated by Jurgen Rumpenhorst since 1994. This PADI 5 Star Dive Resort is a waterfront home for aquatic adventures, with clear warm water and more than 20 dive sites just 5–15 minutes away.

Courses and diving

Four PADI Instructors guide everyone from first-timers to certified divers. Newcomers can try PADI Discover Scuba Diving from USD 95, while options like PADI Enriched Air Diver with eLearning, half-day trips and multi-day trips round out the program. There's an onsite training pool, a classroom and a house reef to learn on, plus Nitrox, equipment sales and rental.

Dive sites include Puntilla, Deep Wall, The Canyon and Sosua Bay, where you might meet sharks, whales, turtles, ocean fish, corals, eels and more. With staff speaking English, Spanish, French and German, and free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking on site, it suits divers of every level.
