Divection Duikopleidingen

Divection Duikopleidingen has been teaching divers in Amsterdam since 2002, moving to the Sportstraat in 2006 and to the De Mirandabad in 2019. This is a diveschool rather than a dive shop — specialising in training is the shared passion of every instructor here. As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center with 24 PADI Instructors, Divection even trains future instructors.

Courses and who it suits

The full range runs through PADI Scuba Diving, TecRec, Freediving, Snorkelling and EFR First Aid, with Nitrox available. Most instructors have worked at dive resorts around the world and teach in English daily, and since many students are expats or university students, courses run in both English and Dutch. Most students and instructors are between 20 and 40 years old.

Divection has an onsite training pool and classroom, air conditioning and parking, plus around twenty modern dive kits. Local diving centres on Vinkeveen Zandeiland 4 and the Vinkeveense Plassen, and the school also runs a dive club and conservation activities.
