Divinguru Unawatuna

Set on the Galle coast of Sri Lanka, Divinguru Unawatuna — formerly the Original Unawatuna Diving Centre by Hans — is a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort and a three-time PADI Award Winner (2016, 2017, 2018) for Outstanding Contribution to Diver Education. It's also the only dive center in Unawatuna to offer free Enriched Air Nitrox, backed by a highly qualified, multilingual instructor team speaking English, Spanish, French, German, Hungarian, Czech, Arabic and Polish.

Courses, dives and local sites

Whether you're starting out or already certified, the lineup runs from the PADI Open Water Diver Course through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox and Emergency First Response, plus 4- and 8-dive packages with rental equipment. Fun diving in Unawatuna and Galle starts from USD 96.

Reef, rock, wreck, deep and night dives span 16 sites at depths from 6 up to 32 metres, including Gala Pita Gala, Aluth Gala and the wrecks SS Orestes and SS Rangoon, where divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish. On-site facilities include a training pool, classroom, air conditioning and a house reef.
