Duikvereniging Moby Dick

Duikvereniging Moby Dick is a diving association founded on February 22, 1995 in Sneek, in the Netherlands' Friesland region. More than 200 enthusiastic members have joined since its inception, drawn by a simple objective: to practise diving together in a pleasant, sociable way. As an association rather than a commercial school, Moby Dick pairs quality training with genuinely friendly prices — an Open Water Diver course runs for just € 375, and comes with a free one-year membership.

Courses and diving life

Recognised as a PADI 5 Star IDC with 8 PADI instructors, the club offers the full range of training, from PADI Scuba Diving and Snorkelling to First Aid EFR. An onsite training pool, classroom, retail shop, air fills, dive boat and free Wi-Fi keep everything close at hand, with staff speaking English, Dutch and German.

Members dive regularly at locations across the country, with annual trips to the North Sea, Zeeland, Denmark, Spain and Egypt. Barbecues, lectures and workshops round out the calendar, making it a warm fit for divers who value community as much as time in the water.
