El Rei del Mar

Since 1990, El Rei del Mar has been a family-run dive centre in L'Estartit, Spain, staffed by a professional team with many years of experience in the area. It's a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 9 PADI Instructors, and its focus is a complete service built around comfort, safety and a friendly atmosphere, backed by an onsite training pool, classroom, retail shop and its own dive boat.

Courses and diving

New divers can start with the PADI Open Water Diver, from USD 549 over roughly 5 days, while the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver runs from USD 418 across about 3 days. Nitrox, equipment sales and scuba rental round out the offering, and the team works in English, Spanish, French, Italian and Catalan.

The centre sits within the Parc Natural de les Illes Medes and the Costa del Montgrí, diving local sites such as Tascó Gros, Reina, Salpatxot, Dofí, La Vaca and Pota del Llop. It suits divers of all levels drawn to this well-regarded corner of the Mediterranean.
