Epic Ocean Adventures

Set on the waterfront at Dutch Bay in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka, Epic Ocean Adventures has been welcoming divers and snorkellers since 2014. As the first local PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort in Trincomalee, it pairs three PADI Instructors with a house reef, an onsite classroom, a dive boat and onsite accommodation — a genuinely family-friendly base for time in the water.

Courses and diving

Whether you've never breathed underwater or you're chasing a pro rating, the range runs deep. Try PADI Discover Scuba Diving from USD 113, step up through the PADI Open Water Diver Course from USD 460 and Advanced Open Water from USD 454, or go all the way to PADI Divemaster from USD 1671. Certified divers can head out on Two Dives from USD 107, with Nitrox available on site.

Local dive sites include Swami Rock, Navy Island, the Navy Underwater Dive Museum and Wreck, Hospital Reef and Middle Reef, home to sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, corals and more. With instructors speaking English, Spanish and Russian, it suits families and travellers of every experience level.
