Kalpitiya Diving Center

Run by the Fernando family — now in its fourth generation of PADI Pros — Kalpitiya Diving Center is a PADI 5-Star operation with branches on both Sri Lanka's east and west coasts. The center is led by Samith "Sam" Fernando, a PADI MSDT and EFR Instructor with over 30 years of experience and nearly 20,000 dives along the country's coast, backed by a reputation of more than 1,000 reviews on both Google and TripAdvisor.

Courses and diving for every level

With 17 courses and activities on offer, KDC takes divers from their first breath underwater to professional ranks. The lineup runs from PADI Discover Scuba Diving and Scuba Diver through Adventure Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Emergency First Response, and on to Divemaster, alongside full-day and multi-day dive trips.

The Trincomalee base at Sandy Bay sits just minutes from the dive sites, so there are no long boat rides to reach reefs like Middle Reef and Life saving point reef.
