Kamalame Cay

A mile from Kamalame's shores lies the third longest barrier reef in the world — a living wall of coral that puts warm Caribbean water and an exceptional underwater world within easy reach of both divers and snorkelers.

The reef teems with life. Sea anemones sway among brilliant coral, tiny seahorses ride the current, and rainbow-colored parrotfish drift past animated pufferfish and passing sharks. Explore the bustling shallows, follow huge grouper through coral caverns, and watch spotted eagle rays glide over the blue. At the reef's edge, a dramatic wall plunges 6,000 feet to the bottom of the "Tongue of the Ocean."

As a PADI Resort on Andros, the center offers PADI Scuba Diving and PADI Freediving, with all experience levels catered for. Blue Hole dives are available on request, making this a fine base for curious beginners and seasoned divers alike.
