Nuarro Lodge

Perched on the waterfront in Memba, Mozambique, Nuarro Lodge makes the most of a rare setup: direct access to the sea and a continental shelf that sits remarkably close to shore. That proximity, paired with a scattering of undiscovered sites, is exactly what makes the diving here feel like genuine exploration. Born from the owners' passion for the sport, the Marine Activity Centre is a fully equipped PADI Resort with a house reef right on the doorstep.

Courses and diving

Two PADI instructors guide divers through five courses and activities, from Discover Scuba Diving and the Open Water Diver Course through to the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver programmes, with Emergency First Response training also on offer. English and Portuguese are both spoken, so it's an easy fit for new and progressing divers alike.

Local sites such as The Guardians, Gorgonia Forrest and Fish Alley put you among sharks, whales, turtles and plenty of ocean fish. With scuba and kids' equipment rental, onsite accommodation, a dive boat and a conservation focus, Nuarro suits families and anyone keen to dive somewhere still off the beaten track.
