Octopus Dive School

Tucked into a private jungle setting just outside West End, Roatan, Octopus Dive School has been welcoming divers since 2005. This PADI 5 Star Dive Center is built around smaller groups and personal attention, with classes limited to four students per instructor — an easygoing fit for families, small groups, and anyone who prefers experiences off the beaten path.

Courses for every level

The school runs PADI courses all the way from Open Water to Divemaster, taught by qualified instructors in English, Spanish, German, Italian, and French. You'll find the PADI Open Water Diver Course from USD 481, PADI Rescue Diver, and Advanced Open Water eLearning. Never dived before? Discover Scuba Diving lets you try it without committing to a full course.

Diving happens right on the doorstep, with a house reef and dive boat at this waterfront location. Divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, molluscs and crustaceans, and plenty of ocean fish. On land, there's an onsite classroom, an Adaptive Services Facility, onsite accommodation, free Wi-Fi, and parking.
