Paradise Beach Divers

Set right on the sand at Paradise Beach Hotel in West Bay, Roatan, Paradise Beach Divers is a PADI 5-Star IDC resort built to welcome snorkellers, scuba divers and freedivers alike. With five PADI Instructors and a waterfront base complete with a house reef, it's the only dive shop in West Bay offering both Freediving and Technical Diving classes — a rare combination on this stretch of Honduran coast.

Courses and dive sites

Whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or building on existing skills, the centre runs Discover Scuba Diving, 2-Tank dives, the Shark Dive at Cara-a-Cara, Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) and the PADI Open Water Course with eLearning. Regular boat dives reach 30+ different sites just 5 to 10 minutes from base, while special trips venture to the far reaches of Roatan, the Cayos Cochinos Islands, Utila Island and Pigeon Cays.

Divers can explore names like Marco's Place, Josie J shipwreck, Mandy's Eel Garden and West End Wall, with sharks, turtles, eels and vibrant reef life among the highlights. Staff speak English, Spanish, Dutch and French.
