Poseidon Dive Center

Based in Santa Marta, Colombia, Poseidon Dive Center is billed as the First Class Dive Center of Colombia — the only PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort in the country with a Tec Diving Facility. A PADI course director works full time at the dive school alongside four PADI instructors, and the staff speaks Spanish, English and German.

Courses and diving

The center runs courses from beginner to pro level, plus fun dives that are limited only by your air consumption, not by time. Options span the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, the Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses, Deep Diver, Digital Underwater Photographer and more. You can dive with air, Nitrox (offered free) or Trimix, and sidemount diving is available. Two custom-made dive catamarans carry up to 16 and 18 divers, and 3mm or 5mm wetsuits and a dive computer are provided depending on the season.

Divers explore local sites such as Morrito Largo, Dos Morritos, Punta Aguja and El Morro de Santa Marta, where marine life includes sharks, whales, turtles, rays, ocean fish, eels, molluscs, crustaceans and corals.
