Poseidon Diving

Tucked directly on the quiet sands of Platja Port Pelegri in Calella de Palafrugell, Poseidon Diving is about as close to the water as a dive base can get. The beach sits sheltered from the strong north wind, making it an easy, welcoming spot for first dives and try dives — yet interesting enough that experienced divers keep finding something new in every hole. In spring, cuttlefish are an easy sight on almost every dive.

Courses and dive sites

A PADI 5 Star Dive Center with 6 PADI Instructors, Poseidon runs the full path from the PADI Open Water Diver Course to the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, from USD 419. The dive boat carries up to 22 divers and heads out twice a day.

The nearest reef, Ullastres, is about 5 minutes away by boat — a well-known Catalunya site famed for its steep coral walls and big, colourful gorgonians. The Tamariu Canyons lie just 5 minutes out too. Staff speak English, Spanish, French, German and Catalan.
