Pro Dive International Ocean El Faro

Tucked into Punta Cana, Pro Dive International Ocean El Faro is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort where one PADI Instructor introduces divers to the Dominican Republic's marine environment — vibrant coral formations, a diverse array of sea life, and the chance to explore unique underwater cave systems.

Excursions and dive sites

The centre runs dive excursions to Bayahibe, Saona, and Catalina islands, with wreck diving and a fantastic variety of marine life along the way. Saona's nearly uninhabited natural park offers two dives over renowned sites such as La Parguera, Cacon, El Faro, El Canal, Palmilla, and El Penon. At Catalina, "The Wall" drops from a gentle beach slope into a steep wall blanketed in sponges, hard and soft corals, with a terrace varying from 1.5 to 6 metres. Snorkellers are welcome on these trips too.

With an onsite training pool and classroom, equipment rental, and staff speaking English and Spanish, it suits everyone from first-timers running pool sessions on-site to certified divers — though a pool check or refresher may apply after time away from diving.
