Learn to Dive in the Norwegian Archipelago

Ever dreamed of weightlessness, or of exploring a whole new world beneath the surface? At Risøy Folkehøyskole in Southern Norway, the diving line turns curious beginners into safe, experienced divers — with classrooms that begin right outside the door and extend into Raet National Park.

As a PADI Educational Facility, Risøy provides equipment for both teaching and leisure, plus its own pool. The location is hard to beat: you can dive straight from the jetty, or head out into the archipelago aboard the centre's own dive boat, M/S Risøy.

Training runs all the way up to instructor level, and there's the freedom to log as many dives as you like. With diving traditions reaching back to 1965, the school trains around 40–50 new basic course divers each year — and several graduates have gone on to work in the diving industry itself.

Instruction is offered in English and Norwegian, making it a natural fit for anyone ready to start, or advance, their diving journey.
