Scubafriends

Run by PADI Course Director and owner Salvatore — a long-time resident of Tenerife with years of international experience — this PADI 5 Star IDC centre puts ocean lovers first and professionals second. Courses and dive sites

Whether you're taking your first breaths underwater or aiming higher, the course range runs from PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy (from USD 311) and PADI Scuba Diver through Drift Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Underwater Photographer and Search and Recovery, up to the six-day PADI Divemaster. Local diving spans sites such as Palm-Mar Roncadores, Playa de las Vistas, Montaña Guaza, El Peñón (Wreck of Tabaiba), Cueva del Zorro and Alcala Reef.

A waterfront base with an onsite classroom, retail shop, dive boat and free Wi-Fi suits divers of every level who want the Canary Islands underwater — sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish included.
