Taprobane Divers

Set on the Trincomalee bay beachfront in Sri Lanka, Taprobane Divers is a PADI Resort dive centre with two PADI Instructors and a house reef right on its doorstep. It runs snorkelling, fun diving and scuba courses for everyone from first-timers to advanced divers, plus boat trips and dolphin watching. New high-grade equipment imported from the UK and maintained to UK standards keeps the air clean and reliable, and the centre dives 12-litre steel cylinders for extra air and weight advantages.

Courses and dive sites

The course menu spans PADI Discover Scuba Diving from USD 71, the 2 Dive package from USD 71, PADI Scuba Diver, PADI Boat Diver, PADI Search and Recovery Diver, Open Water Referral training and Emergency First Response. Divers explore sites such as Swami Rock, Navy Island, the Navy Underwater Dive Museum and Wreck, Hospital Reef, Middle Reef and Navy Island Cave, with more than 20 dive sites nearby.

With an onsite classroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, retail shop, dive boat, onsite accommodation and parking, plus staff speaking English, Spanish, German and Tamil, it suits beginners and experienced divers alike, year-round.
