Tawali Resort

Tawali Resort sits on the waterfront of Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea, putting some of the region's most remote and thriving marine ecosystems within easy reach. Every dive is just a 25 to 40 minute boat ride from the resort, opening up 20+ dive sites where coral-clad pinnacles and walls draw both large and small creatures. Muck diving is on offer too, and night dives on the house reef are warmly encouraged.

Diving and courses

As a PADI Resort with a PADI Instructor on site, Tawali caters to divers across the spectrum. You can choose between two-tank and three-tank trips: three-tank outings depart in the morning aboard the 60-foot West Coaster "Explorer" (maximum 20 divers) with lunch served on the boat or on nearby islands, while two-tank trips run morning or afternoon on three nimble 23-foot speed boats.

Favourite sites include Wahoo Point, Sponge Heaven, Deacon's Reef, Coral Garden, Barracuda Point and the Tawali House Reef. With an onsite classroom, dive boat, accommodation and food and drinks, and staff speaking English, Japanese and Filipino, it suits divers seeking variety in one welcoming base.
