The Taaras Beach and Spa Resort

The Taaras Beach and Spa Resort is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort set on Redang Island (Pulau Redang), within a protected Marine Park in the South China Sea. The reefs here are safeguarded by the Marine & Fisheries department, and the surrounding archipelago comprises nine islands — including Lima, Paku Besar, Paku Kecil, Kerengga Besar, Kerengga Kecil, Ekor Tebu, Batu Ling, Pinang and the main Redang Island.

Diving from Redang Island

With more than 30 dive locations rich in both hard and soft corals, divers can expect turtles, harmless reef sharks, moray eels, angel fish, barracuda, napoleon, triggerfish, rainbow runner, giant stingray, cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranch and more. A team of three PADI instructors runs courses and activities, with PADI Scuba Diving, PADI Snorkelling, conservation activities and PADI First Aid (EFR) all on offer.

Onsite facilities include a training pool, classroom, house reef, dive boat, retail shop and equipment rental, with English and Malay spoken — well suited to learners and those keen to explore Redang's protected waters.
