West Side Scuba Centre

Diving from a waterfront base in Bridgetown, West Side Scuba Centre opens up the reefs and wrecks of Barbados and the wider Caribbean Sea. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with four PADI instructors, it welcomes everyone from first-timers trying a Discover Scuba Diving session to advanced divers chasing deeper adventures, all from a fully equipped dive boat.

Wrecks, reefs and courses

The centre dives more than 10 different wrecks, two marine parks and a turtle park, plus over twenty reef dives spanning the South, West and Bridgetown itself. The famous SS Stavronikita makes a fascinating wreck dive for experienced divers, while sites like Close Encounters reef are known for sting rays. Marine life ranges across sharks, turtles, whales, ocean fish and eels.

PADI instruction is offered at all levels, from Open Water Diver and ReActivate refreshers to Underwater Navigator, Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response. A single tank afternoon dive starts from USD 90, with an onsite classroom, free Wi-Fi, Nitrox and equipment rental on hand.
