About Teman

The Teman is a 36-meter/118-foot traditional Indonesian phinisi, hand-built in wood and welcoming just 12 guests across five cabins — three doubles and two triples. Each has an ensuite bathroom with a hot shower, individually controlled air conditioning, storage space, and portholes, making the boat as comfortable between dives as it is under way.

Diving Indonesia's finest waters

Depending on the season, the Teman sails to Komodo and Raja Ampat, with adventure cruises also reaching the Banda Sea, Triton Bay, Sulawesi, and Halmahera. In Raja Ampat, itineraries take in Misool, Pianemo & Penemu, the Wayag Archipelago, Wofoh Island, the Dampier Strait, and Gam's Jungle. Komodo routes visit sites such as Batu Bolong, Makassar Reef, Golden Passage, and Castle Rock.

With 20 years sailing across Indonesia and a crew of 10 plus the Cruise Director, the Teman offers a near 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio. Beyond diving, guests can snorkel, kayak, trek, and paddleboard, then relax on the sun decks with bean bags and loungers, or gather in the covered outdoor area for home-cooked Western and local cuisine, including freshly baked bread, pastries, and cakes.
