2005年に設立されたBarefoot Scubaは、アンダマン諸島で初めてのPADI 5スターインストラクター開発センター兼ダイブリゾートとして、ここに拠点を置く最古の存在です。ハヴェロック島（スワラジ・ディープ）に位置するこのダイブセンターは、スキューバダイビング専用にカスタマイズされた6隻のスピードボート、エア充填ステーション、器材メンテナンス設備に加え、初心者からプロフェッショナルまでをサポートするライブラリーや教室を完備し、きめ細やかな運営を行っています。
ダイブファクトリーではなく、パーソナライズされたダイビング体験
Barefoot Scubaは、混雑した「ダイブファクトリー」スタイルをあえて避け、12名のPADIインストラクター、ダイブマスター、DSDリーダーによる少人数体制で、ダイバー1人ひとりにしっかり目が届くよう配慮しています。3カ国語に対応し、敷地内にはすぐさまエントリーできるハウスリーフがあるため、丁寧な指導を受けながら安心してダイビングを楽しみたい方には最適です。
取得済みCカードをお持ちのダイバーは、USD 96からファンダイブに参加可能。提供しているコースは、PADIアドバンスドオープンウォーターダイバーをはじめ、ディープダイバー、ナイトダイバー、エンリッチドエア（ナイトロックス）、デジタル水中フォトグラファー、エマージェンシーファーストレスポンスまで幅広く揃っています。地元のダイブポイントにはザ・ウォール、ディクソンのピナクル、ジョニーのゴージ、インチキースレック、ネモリーフがあり、リーフシャークやウミガメのほか、ウナギ、軟体動物、色鮮やかなサンゴ礁など、多様な海洋生物との出会いが期待できます。

★ 5 · Anand Vasudevan · 2010-01-27Did my basic open water course with Barefoot Scuba last year. This is the priciest shop in the Andamans but is value for money. Coaching was very professional, had one DM to two of us. I don't have experience of other shops to comment about the safety standards, but at no point did I feel safety was compromised. Equipment was clean/ well maintained, no dive boats were over crowded. The underwater scenery was great- Andamans have some great diving fields, going by what some of the more experienced divers had to say. One concern though is that there is no hyberbaric chamber anywhere in the Andaman Islands in case of emergencies. But I will rate the shop a 5 star. Secondly, as you did a course with us you would have had an Instructor teaching you and not a DM. As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development facility we adhere strictly to all PADI standards and would never compromise by sending out a DM to conduct your course.
