Above & Below Dive Centre

Above & Below is a premier 5 Star PADI IDC dive centre based in Pontefract, with a sister centre in Hull. Ranked within the top three centres in the UK for PADI certifications, its team of 6 PADI Instructors delivers training from complete beginner right through to professional level, with a first-class reputation for making every experience enjoyable, safe and exciting.

Courses and dive sites

The programme spans PADI Scuba Diving, Freediving, Mermaid, Snorkelling and First Aid (EFR), so there's a path for whatever your interests. Divers train at Capernwray and at Blue Lagoon — the centre's own 32 acre open water site, designed specifically for divers and boasting excellent visibility.

Facilities include an onsite training pool, a classroom, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop, parking and a waterfront location with food and drinks. Air fills, nitrox and mixed gas are on hand, alongside rental of scuba, kids', freediving, rebreather (CCR) and scooter (DPV) equipment. With a dive club and conservation activities too, it suits everyone from first-timers to seasoned divers looking for a proper home base.
