About Sunderland Scuba Centre
Set on Sunderland's Tyne & Wear coast, Sunderland Scuba Centre is a dive club with a genuine open-door spirit. Whether you're already qualified and hunting for your next dive or you're curious about starting a brand-new hobby, this is a welcoming place to take the plunge. The club caters to every level, from newly certified Scuba Divers right through to Instructor level and beyond.
Courses and community
As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre with a team of 12 PADI Instructors, Sunderland Scuba Centre is well set up to guide you along the full training pathway. Sign onto a course here and you're automatically enrolled in the club — and if you already hold a qualification, you can simply come down to the centre to join, including as a BSAC or SAA diver.
English is spoken, and the centre keeps regular weekday and Saturday hours. It's an easygoing, all-levels home base for divers around Sunderland who want somewhere friendly to learn, progress and keep diving.

The club is full of people who go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome all in all its like joining an extended family
★ 5 · ali wotherspoon · 2011-10-03Steve, Val and the whole team of divemasters were amazing throughout our training. All the way through we felt in safe, capable hands. The pool sessions were well structured and you really felt you were making progress towards our PADI. All the time in the water we were carefully monitored and supported - we had almost 1:1 support the entire time!! The rental gear was excellent and the atmosphere around the school was really friendly. Overall, can't recommend them enough as a training school.

They have a dent dive community as well by the looks of things, and whilst I haven't done a lot of diving yet, I feel in safe hands when I do.
