East Lancs Diving

East Lancs Diving is a PADI Dive Center in Blackburn, United Kingdom, built for recreational divers who want to get in the water regularly — at home and abroad — without the cost mounting up. It's a non-profit club run on the belief that recreational diving need not be expensive, and its instructors have earned PADI's award of recognition of excellence.

Training and dive sites

Eleven PADI Instructors head up a dedicated team that includes Staff Instructors, speciality Instructors, Open Water Instructors, Emergency First Response Instructors and Divemasters, all giving their time freely to the club. Courses cover PADI Scuba Diving, PADI TecRec, PADI Snorkelling and PADI First Aid – EFR, with an onsite training pool and classroom for the early stages.

Members dive UK favourites such as Scapa Flow, The Farne Islands, St Abbs Marine Park, Eyemouth, Capernwray, Vobster Quay, Loch Long and Lochaline, alongside sites including the P-29 patrol boat, Karwela, Cirkewwa, Cathedral Cave, Xlendi Bay and the Blue Hole. Sharks, whales and turtles are among the marine life encountered. Air to 300 bar, nitrox, equipment sales and rental, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking round out the setup — English spoken, and beginners as welcome as old hands.
