Afro Divers

Tucked away in Makangale on Pemba Island, Tanzania, Afro Divers is a small dive centre in one of the country's remotest corners — and the isolation is exactly the point. This is a PADI Dive Center staffed by a highly professional team, pairing quality rental equipment with comfortable, fast boats to make diving here genuinely memorable.

Courses and diving

With 2 PADI Instructors on hand, Afro Divers is well suited to divers looking for personal attention in a quiet, off-the-beaten-path setting. The waters off Pemba are home to sharks, whales, turtles and other marine life, mammals and reptiles among them. A dedicated dive boat, a dive club and both adult and kids' equipment rental round out the experience.

The waterfront centre keeps things comfortable with free Wi-Fi and on-site parking, and the team speaks English, Dutch, French, German and Italian. It's a friendly, well-equipped base for exploring one of Tanzania's most remote diving destinations.
