Akumal Dive Shop

Set on the shores of Akumal, Akumal Dive Shop holds a special place in Mexican diving history as the first dive shop to operate on Mexico's mainland. With over 30 years of experience, it has grown into an accredited, PADI 5 Star Dive Center staffed by 8 PADI instructors — a place where safe diving always comes first, wrapped in a relaxed and genuinely fun atmosphere.

Courses for every level

Whatever your experience, there's a way in. Newcomers can take their first breaths underwater with PADI Discover Scuba Diving, a roughly 3-hour introduction from USD 85. Certified divers can join the Half-Day Dive Trip, around 4 hours exploring the waters of the Riviera Maya from USD 140. The team's range has long stretched all the way to Instructor Development Programs.

A dive boat and scuba equipment rental keep things easy, and the staff welcome guests in English, Spanish, French, and Italian. For many, a dive here has become a tradition — come once, fall in love with the place, and become part of it.
