Plan this trip with AI →Set in Puerto Morelos on the Mexican Caribbean, Wet Set Dive and Snorkel Adventures takes the work out of a dive vacation. From the moment you check in, there's no assembling equipment, hauling tanks to the boat or rinsing gear afterwards — it's all handled for you. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with three PADI Instructors, it's a well-established base for exploring the reef, positioned halfway between Playa del Carmen and Cancun.
Certified divers can explore a wonderful diversity of sea life across over 30 dive sites, including Fish Market, Mini Wall, the C-56 (Juan Escutia) Shipwreck and Aquarium. Snorkel tours drift over hard and soft corals loaded with lobsters and tropical fish, protected by the barrier reef.
Learning happens in small, personal groups with instructors who care, from PADI Discover Scuba Diving to Open Water and Enriched Air, with PADI eLearning making it easy to get started online. With English and Spanish spoken and a house reef on the doorstep, it suits first-timers and returning divers alike.

★ 5 · John Cuthbertson · 2013-03-26I dove with WetSet for the third time in February (4 dives) . The first was when Paul owned the shop, the second when Lindsay and Tadd were transtioning in as new owners and the last time when Lindsay and Tadd were fully in their new business. The service was great, the attention to safety notable and the choice of dive sites amazing. We had been scheduled to go to a dive site north of Puerto Morelos (by water) but it was too rough to safely get back on board so we dove C-56 (the wreck at 90 feet deepest) and then a second dive nearby (shallower) where we encountered a school of curious dolphins (15-20) who hung around, left and then returned-Amazing!. We often stay at an all inclusinve and this time it was at Secrets Maroma. While PDC was closer, I wanted to go to Wet Set b/c of the quality of the diving and the friendly service. The cab ride was about $15-20 each way but worth it. I have no hesitation recommending them for your diving experience. Although the dive boats aren't as fancy as some, they are well suited to smaller groups. They start a bit earlier than some places with the result that you can do 2 good dives before noon and have the rest of the day for other activities or you can also go in the afternoon-efficient.
