Aqua Mundo

Aqua Mundo holds a rare place in Mexico's diving story as the first diving school in the country, established in Acapulco back in 1950. That long history translates into a wide experience in recreational nautical services, and today the centre operates as a PADI Resort with four PADI instructors on the team.

Courses and local diving

With an onsite training pool and classroom, Aqua Mundo is well set up for divers learning the ropes as well as those building on existing skills. Its waterfront location comes with a house reef right on the doorstep, plus a dive boat for reaching the water, so there's plenty to explore close to base.

The surrounding waters host a broad cast of marine life, from sharks, whales and turtles to ocean fish, rays, eels, molluscs and crustaceans, alongside corals, anemones and jellyfish. Staff speak both English and Spanish, and facilities include air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a retail shop and parking. Equipment rental covers adult and children's sizes, making it a welcoming fit for families and divers of all levels.
