Aquamaster

Tucked away in the calm waters of Angra dos Reis, Brazil, Aquamaster Centro de Mergulho traces its roots to the mid-1980s, when it began life at Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro before settling into this coastal corner. It was founded by Commander Guilherme, a captain in the Brazilian Navy with over 50 years of experience, and is today led by instructor Welington Vieira.

Courses and diving

As a PADI Resort with 2 PADI Instructors, Aquamaster is a natural starting point for newcomers. The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience runs roughly 5 hours, from USD 120 — an easy first taste of the underwater world. Beneath the surface you may encounter turtles, ocean fish, sharks and rays, and other marine life.

On-site you'll find a training pool, a classroom, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, plus a dive boat, accommodation, and food and drinks. Air fills and scuba equipment rental round out the services, with staff speaking Spanish and Portuguese. It's a welcoming, full-service base for anyone keen to explore diving in Angra dos Reis.
