Banderas Scuba Republic Malecon Zone

Banderas Scuba Republic is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, run by a team of 3 PADI instructors. There are actually two locations in town — the original shop, open since 2005 in the Romantic Zone, and a newer resort near the famous Malecón that handles all the scuba logistics along with gear maintenance and rental.

Courses, dives and what to expect

As a full PADI centre, Banderas Scuba Republic offers scuba and snorkelling courses and tours, backed by an onsite training pool that makes it a comfortable place to learn. The signature local dive is the Princesa Vallarta Shipwreck, and the surrounding waters are home to sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish.

Facilities include a dive boat, retail shop, free Wi-Fi, food and drinks, and parking. The team also handles air fills, equipment sales and rental, and runs a dive club alongside conservation activities. Staff speak English and Spanish, making it a solid fit for new divers and travelling divers alike.
