Best Spot Azores Dive Center

Set on São Miguel Island in the Azores, Best Spot Azores Dive Center is the first 100% AWARE and 5* PADI Dive Resort in the region, backed by Green Star and Elite Instructor recognition. With 7 PADI instructors and a team speaking English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese, it welcomes divers from first-timers to professionals.

Courses and diving

The centre runs a full PADI pathway, from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water through Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air and Rescue Diver, alongside fun boat dives such as the 2 Tank Morning Boat Fun Dives (from USD 113). Both coastal and offshore diving are on offer across sites including the DORI Liberty Ship Wreck, Caloura Arches, The Mirrors, Willy Wonka and Mobulas Hot Spot, where lava flows and arches shape a striking underwater landscape.

Divers can spot sharks, whales, turtles, rays and Atlantic ocean fish. Uniquely, this is the only dive centre here with a house reef and a wreck dive just a jump from the water. With an onsite training pool, classroom, retail shop, waterfront setting and the local "Jelly Fish Project," it suits everyone from curious beginners to conservation-minded divers.
