Haliotis - Sesimbra Diving Center

Sesimbra is probably the most popular diving location in Portugal, and thanks to its orientation, diving here is possible all year round. Set in a pleasant fishing village 30km from Lisbon, Haliotis - Sesimbra Diving Center puts you on the doorstep of the Luiz Saldanha Marine Park, where most of the dives take place. With more than 1100 species of marine macro-organisms known in these waters, the diversity across different depths keeps every dive interesting.

Courses and diving

As a PADI Dive Center with 3 PADI instructors, Haliotis runs a full range of training — from the beginner PADI Open Water Diver and Discover Scuba try dives through Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Dry Suit Diver and PADI Freediver. Half-day dive trips start from USD 46 and explore local sites such as River Gurara P, BATELÃO and Pedra do Leão.

Onsite you'll find male and female changing rooms, a classroom, training pool, retail shop, parking and a filling station, plus the Homarus — at 12 meters, the biggest boat operating in Sesimbra. Staff speak English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, making it a welcoming base for divers of every level.
