Blue Fin Divers

Founded on Naxos Island in the Cyclades by professional diver Panagiotis Niflis in 2006 — the same year Greece lifted its ban on free diving — Blue Fin Divers has spent years mapping the waters between Naxos and Paros. Working from stories passed down by local fishermen, the team has confirmed and opened up a string of remarkable sites across this stretch of the Aegean.

Wrecks, caves and reefs

Their signature tours reach places few divers see: the "Broken Ship," the cargo wreck Marianna that went down in a storm in 1982; the "Wooden Seaplane," remains of a World War I Arado; the "Lost Beaufighter," a British bomber lost in World War II; and the "Mermaids Cave," a hidden cavern at Padieronissi islet. Closer in, Agios Prokopios reef offers gentler diving, and there's a house reef right off the waterfront base.
