Plan this trip with AI →Blue Marlin Diving Center grew from a deep, life-long passion for the sea, and today it stands as a reference point for diving along the Roman coast. Set in the heart of the tourist port of Ostia, near Rome, it is internationally recognised as a Mares Diving Center and holds PADI 5 Star Dive Center status.
With two PADI Instructors on the team, the center welcomes newcomers ready to earn their first certification. The PADI Open Water Diver course runs from USD 718 over roughly 10 days, teaching English- and Italian-speaking divers the fundamentals. A house reef sits close to home, and beneath these waters divers may encounter sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish.
Every dive leaves from the dock directly in front of the center, an area built for comfort with changing rooms, private bathrooms, hot showers and rinse tanks. Ample free parking inside the port, a waterfront setting, onsite classroom and a beach area make it an easy choice for divers and their non-diving companions alike.
