Borneo Divers & Sea Sports - Sabah

Established in 1983, Borneo Divers is a PADI 5 Star IDC center in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and remains a leading professional dive operation in Sabah with operations on both the east and west coasts. Its base at Mabul offers direct access to the nutrient-rich waters that sportdiver.com named among the Top 50 Best Dive Sites in the World — a place often called the world's "muck diving Mecca," where mostly shallow sites and mild currents make for extended bottom times and easy drift dives.

Courses and diving

A team of 20 PADI Instructors works here, ranging all the way up to Course Director, the highest accolade within PADI. The center offers a 4 Days 3 Nights Diver Package, with an onsite training pool, classroom, house reef and dive boat supporting divers at every level. Staff speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and Chinese.

Dive sites include Sapi House Reef, Coral Hills, Stingray City and Hanging Gardens, with chances to encounter sharks, turtles, whales and ocean fish. Borneo Divers also fully supports the conservation effort around Sipadan Island, a protected zone — making it a strong fit for divers who value both quality instruction and the reef itself.
