Nearly two thousand years ago, Virgil sang in the Aeneid of the coast of Syracuse, the peninsula of Plemmirio and Capo Murro di Porco — long seen as a border point between land and sea. Today that stretch of coastline is the heart of the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area, and it's from here that Capo Murro Diving Center leads you to discover the natural beauty above and below the surface.

Courses and diving

A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in Syracuse, Capo Murro Diving Center draws on years of experience to help you dive safely in one of the most beautiful marine areas in the Mediterranean. Beginners and improvers alike are well served, with the PADI Open Water Diver and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver courses each running from USD 598 over roughly five days.

From its waterfront base and dive boat, the center offers air fills, Nitrox and Trimix, plus scuba, freediving and scooter (DPV) rental. The waters teem with life — sharks, whales, turtles, rays, eels, molluscs and crustaceans among them. Staff speak English and Italian, making this a natural choice for anyone wanting to add the splendour of a blue sea to their trip.
