Dive HQ Christchurch

For more than 40 years, Dive HQ Christchurch has been introducing divers to the underwater world from its base in Christchurch, in the province of Canterbury on New Zealand's South Island. It's one of the country's leading career-based PADI training facilities, and has helped place hundreds of scuba instructors across the international diving industry.

Courses and services

As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre with four PADI instructors, Dive HQ Christchurch offers training to all levels, right up to a Diploma in Professional Dive Instruction. Beyond courses, the centre runs a full dive service, air fills, equipment sales and rental, kids' gear, a dive club, and PADI First Aid EFR. Diving runs year-round, both locally and internationally.

On site you'll find a classroom, air conditioning, parking, and a retail shop stocked with the largest range of scuba and spearfishing equipment in the South Island. Staff speak English and French, and can tailor a package to suit any budget — making it a solid fit for newcomers and aspiring professionals alike.
