Dive Planet Mafia Island

Set in the Marine Park of Utende on Mafia Island, Tanzania, Dive Planet is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort welcoming divers since 2022. The centre sits just 15 minutes from Kilindoni airport and a 2-minute walk from the shore at Utende, with a house reef right on its doorstep.

Courses and diving for every level

With two PADI Instructors and small, manageable groups, Dive Planet offers a full range of PADI courses — from the ReActivate Scuba Refresher (from USD 30) and Open Water Diver through to Adventure Diver, Rescue Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver. Certified divers can join daily diving or an 8-dive package, while a dive at Milimani South showcases the local marine life, including sharks, rays, turtles, whales and colourful reef fish.

Non-divers aren't left out, with snorkelling trips, picnics and other excursions on offer. Onsite you'll find a training pool, a classroom, a dive boat, accommodation, food and drinks. Staff speak English, French and German, making this a welcoming base for first-timers and experienced divers alike.
