Dive Point Zanzibar

Tucked into the grounds of the Sunshine Marine Lodge, Dive Point Zanzibar is a small PADI dive center that puts the water right at your doorstep. Its spacious wooden dive boat is moored out front, ready for daily trips to the north-east coast of Zanzibar and Mnemba Atoll. Boats head out in the morning and return around lunchtime, with snacks, fruit and water served during the surface interval.

Courses and conditions

The diving here unfolds across walls, sloping reefs and sandy bottoms scattered with coral-covered rocks, at sites such as Wattabomi, Aquarium and Leon's Wall. Marine life is varied, from sharks, turtles and whales to ocean fish, molluscs, crustaceans and vibrant corals.

This PADI 5 Star Dive Resort suits everyone from first-timers to aspiring pros, with Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster training, plus specialties and enriched air (Nitrox). An onsite training pool, classroom, rental gear, retail shop and free WiFi round out the setup, and courses can be taught in English, French, German and Polish.
