Dive Point Zanzibar

Tucked into the Sunshine Marine Lodge on Zanzibar's north-east coast, Dive Point Zanzibar is a small PADI dive center with a relaxed, hands-on feel. A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, it runs daily diving and snorkelling trips along the coast and out to Mnemba Atoll. Boats head out in the morning and return around lunchtime, with snacks, fruit and water served during the surface interval aboard the center's spacious wooden boat, moored right out front.

Reefs, walls and what you'll find

The diving here ranges across walls, sloping reefs and sandy bottoms scattered with coral-covered rocks. Sites such as Wattabomi, Aquarium and Leon's Wall offer the chance to spot sharks, turtles, rays and a busy cast of reef fish.

It's a solid fit whether you're starting out or building experience: training runs from Discover Scuba and Open Water through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and Divemaster, with specialties and Enriched Air (Nitrox) also available. On-site facilities include a training pool, a spacious classroom, rental gear, a small shop and free WiFi throughout.
