Dive Zihua

Tucked into the heart of downtown Zihuatanejo, Dive Zihua is a PADI Dive Resort that keeps the warm, personal feel of a small operation. The philosophy is simple — fun and safe diving for everyone — delivered by a friendly, multilingual team with years of experience across the Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa region.

Courses and diving

With 2 PADI Instructors on staff, the centre runs a clear path from first breath to leadership. Begin with Discovery Scuba Diving (from USD 100, around 4 hours), then progress through the Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver courses. Snorkeling and whale watching tours round out the offering, backed by a full-service facility with an onsite classroom, retail shop, dive boat, Nitrox and free Wi-Fi.

Local dive sites include Zacatoso, El Chato, Torrecillas, San Gabriel, Piedra Solitaria, Manzanillo and El Cristo, exploring the marine life of the Mexican Pacific — from sharks, whales and turtles to rays, eels, molluscs and corals. With English, Spanish and French spoken, it suits divers of every level looking for a relaxed, well-run home base.
