Diveworld

Training from first breath to instructor

Diveworld is a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Centre based in Sheffield, running adventures from PADI Discover Scuba right through to full professional instructor ratings. With 18 PADI instructors and a resident Course Director on staff, the progression from curious beginner to working pro happens under one roof.

The course list is unusually broad: PADI Scuba Diving, TecRec, Freediving, Mermaid, Snorkelling, First Aid – EFR, Conservation and Adaptive Diving. Diveworld is a PADI Adaptive facility with fully Adaptive-trained staff, and a PADI Freediving Centre with a Freediving Instructor Trainer on the team.

Diving happens across the UK and worldwide. Regular haunts include The Farne Islands, St Abbs Marine Park, Lochaline, Beadnell, the wrecks of the James Egan Layne and HMS Scylla, plus inland sites at Capernwray and Eight Acre Lake and pool sessions at Ponds Forge International Venue and Hillsborough Leisure Centre.

Onsite there's a classroom, retail shop, free Wi-Fi and parking, with air fills, nitrox, equipment sales and rental, and servicing for most major scuba brands. The friendly, busy dive club meets twice a month — ideal for divers who want training and company in equal measure.
