Diving Center Atlantis

Founded in 1993 at the Rithymna Beach Hotel in Adelianos Campos near Rethymnon, on the north coast of Crete, Atlantis Diving Center is the work of Giorgos Gioumpakis — an IDC Staff Instructor with 12 specialties who has spent over 37 years exploring the island's underwater world and discovering many of its finest diving spots. A second branch opened in 2002 at the Club Marine Palace in Panormo.

Courses and diving for every level

As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort with 5 PADI Instructors, Atlantis trains both beginners and experienced divers, with PADI diving and Freediving programs. You can step up through the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, from USD 659 over roughly 3 days, or build safety skills with Emergency First Response, from USD 239 in about a day.

There are no mass dives here — just small groups, individual care, and a house reef and dive boat close at hand. With staff speaking seven languages and a welcome that suits families with children, it's an easygoing base for Cretan waters where sharks, whales, turtles and ocean fish roam.
