Dungun Escapade Resort

Dungun Escapade Resort (DDR) is a small, cozy PADI Resort in Dungun, Terengganu, Malaysia, sitting just 25 km — about 45 minutes — from Tenggol Island. Built in November 2017, it offers 20 secluded rooms for divers and non-divers alike, with daily cleaning, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, food and drinks, parking, and onsite accommodation all in one place.

Diving Tenggol Island

Most travellers come for Tenggol's dive sites, several of which are best suited to advanced or experienced divers, as strong currents affect many spots. Popular sites include Batu Chanang, Tokong Laut (the Highway), Tokong Burung, and Coral Garden, with wrecks, plenty of macro life — especially nudibranchs — and whale sharks seen at certain sites between August and October.

With one PADI Instructor, an onsite training pool and classroom, a dive boat, air fills, Nitrox, and equipment sales and rental, DDR suits divers of all levels. Staff speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay.
